How do I spin the ball?
Hey I’m an amateur only. I play regular old eight-ball pool like in a bar and all that. But I can’t do that spin technique. I mean this:

So could someone post a tutorial link or even a youtube informative video. Everytime I search for one its someone showing off.
What do you mean you can’t do that spin technique? Anyone can spin the cue ball. It takes a lot more skill *not* to spin the cue ball than to spin it. Controlling the spin and aiming with spin are the difficult parts though. That takes a lot practice and getting comfortable with the equipment you’re playing with. Check out the video below though for a good place to start. There’s two following parts to it, so make sure you watch all three.
But I would also recommend getting lessons as well. It’s a lot easier for someone else (especially a certified instructor) to see what’s wrong with your mechanics than for you to feel what’s wrong with your mechanics. In a pinch though, you can film yourself and see your tendencies, like if you’re aligned to one side or stroke crookedly.
