Ok im fixing to open a bar but waiting to get the liquor license could take 2-6 months so i was thinking (thanks to all of those who answered my previous questions) of getting pool tables and all of the other things that are in a bar and just opening the doors, now here is my question, if i have all of the things a normal bar has, but cant serve alcohol or beer/wine just yet, who would want to work for me and who will want to provide entertainment? Im thinking as far as entertainment like open micr nite or local garage bands looking to just play in a public place. I really dont want to attract anyone under 18 for the fact that after i get a liquor license, they wont be allowed. Please only serious answers. Ps The bar is in Ellis county, Texas, USA which is near enough to Dallas.
Thx for all the answers so far. However, Im afraid to do a BYOB or give alcohol away cuz i really dont wana piss TABC off. Any suggestions are great! =)
Now this may be a stupid question but.. Can’t you have BYOB until you get your license. This way you can keep out the 18 and under crowd at first. With the question of who will want to work for me. I am sure there are some college students out there that will do anything for money. As far as entertainment…Pool Tournaments, dart tournaments, I like the idea of open mic night and the local garage bands.
