How to determine the price of good quality pool cues….?
I have 4 cues with their case, one each of the following brands:
Cuetec
Earl Strickland
Coca Cola
Brunswick
I have no idea how much they originally cost, they were my son’s cues. I am having a yard sale, going to try to sell them for him and wondered what would be a fair price. They are in excellent condition, used very little. Not sure what to look for the they are not warped if that helps. Also he has had them for less than 5 yrs. Any advice as to what I may get for them? I want to be fair. Yard sales will not bring much for them, but I don’t want to put too high of a price for fear they will not sell. I’m not interested in putting them on Ebay or advertising in classify ads.
Cuetec cues, including the Earl Strickland models, are selling from anywhere from about $60 to over $200 online at retailers such as http://www.cuesight.com/
Coca-Cola cues are usually just a licensed model with no real value unless you are a collector of memorabilia, and Brunswick is known for their pool tables, so I imagine the pool cues were more of a table accessory, and not quite as valuable as the Cuetec cues could be.
You could bundle a Cuetec with one of the others and offer them as a break cue and playing cue combination set, and as long as a pool player comes buy you should get about half of what the selling price is for a new one.
Another great place to shop for pool cue cases for sale products is Amazon. They have more than just books!
