Good Hotels in Atlanta, GA?
My friend and I are going to Atlanta in October for the Highland Games and are looking for hotels. I grew up in Atlanta but I just turned 21 and am interested in things other than a pool now lol. We are looking for a decently priced hotel room, I would love it if it was under $100 a night, a hotel that has a nice bar/lounge room, preferably with pool tables, and is close enough to take a taxi downtown without being charged $75 one way. Any suggestions would be great! If you could give me a website or something that would be great as well!!

I take it you don’t want to stay in Stone Mountain, where the games are. Since you’re familiar with Atlanta, you know what part of town you want to be in.
If you book through a site like Travelocity, you can reserve a room in the downtown Hilton for $101 per night. The Artmore, which is walking distance to Atlantic Station, is $95. If you want to be in midtown, the Country Inn and Suite is only $60 per night.
Sometimes, if you call the hotel directly and tell them what you’ve found online, they’re able to beat the price by booking directly through them. Give it a try! And since the games are only a few weeks away, you might want to do this soon.
