What do you need to make the ultimate basement hangout?
We have an awful basement. Boring. No carpets. We get lots of water. Walls are made of cement, the floors too. The ceiling has that stupid pink fluff and lots of wood bars. We have ugly, long hanging light bulbs. It’s awful. We do currently have a nice pool table, a pretty crummy dart board, a beautiful wall hanging case for the darts and chalk to write scores on the inside of the case. We also have a pretty nice foosball table. I’d like some new pool que sticks. Maybe a poker table (any ways to get a nice one VERY inexpensibly??) and some poker chips. Please help me, we have quite a lot of room left to turn this dark, cold, dank basement into a beautiful, happy hangout place. What else can I add to make this an awesome hangout?
How about the gaming aspect of it? Like we have a pool table and foosball. Ideas such as poker tables, arcade games etc.
PS. Is there an easy/CHEAP way to find an antique popcorn maker??
Hire a contractor (or do this yourself) to finish the walls and ceiling with drywall. Seal them first with a water sealer. Paint a nice khaki color. Seal the floors with a water sealer and then install carpet (carpet squares are cool and easy to install) or another type of flooring. Then decorate with the game tables, a sofa, and a tv. It might be expensive but it will add a lot of value to your home. Good luck!
