5% of random id numbers?
In an Oracle database I have a table storing a unique id number (number 10) that identifies each transaction done by a front-end application.
I’m required to randomly audit 5% of the transactions for quality control, so I need to produce a report that generates the random numbers and take 5% of those numbers using Crystal reports or SQL plus.
Does any one have a function to share using Crystal function or the SQL Plus syntax to get the 5% of a random in number pool.
SELECT TOP 5 PERCENT (COLUMN) FROM (TABLE) ORDER BY RAND()
