Are Riley Snooker Cues Any Good?
I ask as my 14th birthday is approaching and I want a proper cue, I have been playing (pool and snooker) for the last 6 months with fairly cheap cues (the ones that came with the table). I don’t want one of those old fashioned looking ones, I am looking for a modern stylish cue. However if it means a high quality cue (considering my budget of £80) I will sacrifice the looks. I don’t watch snooker often and I have no idea what makes a good cue so that is why I ask for advice. Unfortunately there are no cue shops in my area so I will have to order my cue on-line without looking at it properly.
So, are Riley’s cues any good ?? Some I have looked at and like are:

They are an ok cue, and I use the term cue loosely here, for someone who plays for leisure every now and then, but If you are after a quality cue. there are loads of better options. I wouldn’t dare call a riley cue or BCE cue “proper” btw as they are essentially firewood with a few licks of paint on them to imitate splices like you would find on REAL cues.
