can i get a pool cue butt by itself?
I am buying a predator Z2 shaft, but the only butt I have that will fit the thread sizes it comes in is my McDermott The Hustler cue, and I feel more comfortable playing with an irish linen or a leather smart grip wrap. Is there anywhere to get cue butts without shafts?
In general, no. Stores usually will not sell butts only. You may be able to find someone who’s selling a cue with a busted shaft on ebay or something, but you won’t find anything new unless you have a custom cuemakers build something for you.
I suggest you just buy a complete cue with a Z2 shaft already on it. You’ll probably save some money that way.
