pool cue shaft pro taper question please answer.?
Hi i want to get a schon cue but i have one problem..I hate perfer shoting with a 13-15 pro taper than a 10-12 pro taper that schon cues come with, can i have them taper it down to 13-15 to suit my long bridge style of shoting? and will this alter the way that the schon cue plays?
Going to a longer taper shouldn’t be a problem. Most cuemakers will do it for you. The shaft probably has more affect than the butt in how a cue plays (that’s why there’s a large secondary shaft market). A longer taper might change the characteristics slightly, but not a whole lot. Most of the flex comes in the front of the shaft.
