Sounds very good to me. The important thing to remember is although it is nice to have a good cue and impress people, there is no point in spending a lot of money unless the skill and temperament are there. Unless you are just going to be seen as a poser you should practice, learn and hone your skills until you can perform with any cue. An important skill is keeping cool under extreme pressure. It is no use being able to pull off fancy shots if you lose your nerve at crucial points. I agree having a good cue can give you confidence.
