do you think or believe that Billiard games are already fully developed??
well, as I observed, according to Billiard history. The game evolve from century to century. The changes include Cue stick’s thickness, straightness, design etc… While the other equpment was develope too, including table sizes ( 7ft, 8ft, 9ft ), pocket size, chalk etc…
Anyway, if you think or believe there is something missing or lacking, what it is?? why?? …in other words ,,,what can you contribute to the game???
As long as companies have marketing departments, equipment technology will always evolve.
A more recent example of evolution though is the development of world-standardized rules for 10-ball, a call pocket rotation game. This was just announced on Jan 31 of this year. One of the reasons this was developed was because in 9 ball, players were using a soft break to guarantee a pocketed ball and great position to run out. At some tournaments, they tried various rules to prevent this, such as racking the 9 ball on the spot or requiring a certain number of balls needing to pass back up table.
And then, there are made-for-tv games like Sudden Death 7 ball, which didn’t last long. But it’s possible other types of games that lend themselves better to a tv format will be invented.
Trick shots are also popular on tv. For these, players are always inventing new shots, often with random props, which can be very entertaining to watch and perform. This is my area of contribution.
Another great place to shop for billiards table history products is Amazon. They have more than just books!
