Can anyone recommend a pool cue in the $200 range? I was thinking about getting the hubby one for his birthda?
Also average weight and length recommendations? I won’t be offended if he returns it because of this but I REALLY want to do this as a surprise.
Like Brew said, the feel of a cue is very personal. The good news is that if he hasn’t tried a lot of cues, he might not know what he actually likes, so he’ll be happy with whatever you get. $200 is a great starting price point too for a good quality cue. McDermott and Viking are great brands to look for and both have lifetime warranties (if you buy from an authorized reseller). Lucasi, Players, and Joss are also quality brands. Any cues around the same price point will be similar; there’s not a lot to differentiate between them except for looks.
Lengths are pretty standard. If your husband’s really tall (say, 6’2″ or taller), he may be more comfortable with a longer cue (60 inches). The weights of most cues can also be adjusted after the purchase, so don’t worry about that part as much.
Another great place to shop for average pool cue length products is Amazon. They have more than just books!
